ORDINANCE NO. 2098
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED APPROXJJvIATELY 160 FEET
WEST OF ELMHURST ROAD IMMEDIATELY NORTH OF DEMPSTER STREET
I"'HEREAS, a written petition under oath signed by the owner of record
of land hereinafter described has been filed with the Village Clerk of the
Village of Mount Prospect; and
~~,( all the electors residing within the said property to be
annexed have affixed their signature indicating their consent; and
WHEREAS, the said land is not within the corporate limits of any
rmmicipality, but is contiguous to the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect find and believe it to be in the best interests of the said Village
that said land and territory be annexed thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENr AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
to-wit:
SECTION 1: That all land and territory legally described as follows,
That part of the Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section
14, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian,
described as follows: Beginning at a point 12 chains South of the
Northeast corner of said Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of
said Section 14; thence West 11.5 chains; thence South 2.35 chains;
thence West 8.50 chains to the West line of said Southeast quarter
of the Southeast quarter, thence South 5.65 chains to the Southwest
corner of said Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter; thence
East 20 chains to the Southeast comer of said Section 14; thence
North 8.0 chains to the place of beginning, together with the North
50 feet of the East 20 chains of the North East Quarter of Section 23,
Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian,
(except therefrom that part of the Southeast quarter of the Southeast
quarter of Section 14, Township In North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, described as follows: Beginning at the Southwest
comer of said Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter; thence
North along the West line of said Southeast quarter of the Southeast
quarter 385.20 feet; thence East 562.28 feet to a point 385.38 feet
North of the South line of said Section 14; thence South 385.38 feet
to a point in the South line of said Section 14, which is 562.0 feet
East of the Southvlest comer of said Southeast quarter of the Southeast
quarter; thence West along the South line of said Section 14, to a
place of beginning, and also except therefrom the Fast 210 feet thereof)
in Cook County, Illinois.

part thereof by this "reference be and the same is hereby annexed to
the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION 2: The Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect is
ereby directed to file in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County,
Illinois, a certified copy of this Ordinance together with an accurate map of

SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
