HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 2105 10/01/1968 ~ ,-.. - ORDINANCE NO. 2105 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE PLAN OF THE VIlLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, SECTION 7 "IMPROVEMENT OF ROADWAY" WHEREAS, the Plan Conmission of the Village of Mount Prospect did conduct a Public Hearing pursuant to proper legal notice on June 21, 1968 under Case No. 68-27P; and WHEREAS, the Plan Conmission did recommend the proposed standards regarding the improvement of raods as contained in the subdivision regulations of the Village Plan under Section 7 J Article II; and WHEREAS, the Judiciary Committee of the Board of Trustees did meet and concur in the recommendations of the Plan Conmission; and WHEREAS, the Presid~nt and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect deem it to be in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect that said recommendation be adopted; " NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSrrEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY J ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: Section 7 of Article II of the Village Plan of the Village of Mount Prospect J as amended, is hereby further amended in its entirety so that Section 7 shall hereafter be and read as follows: Sect ion 7. Improvement of Roadway. (a) Residential Roadway. The subdivider shall at his own expense improve all streets with a roadway of not less than 32 feet wide (back to back curbs) and cuI de sacs 96 feet wide (back to back curbs) consisting of: 1. Portland Cement Concrete Pavement not less than 7 inches thick; or 2. 10-1/2 inches of Waterbound Macadam Base Course with a 1- inch cushion of screenings and 1-1/2 inches of Bituminous Binder Course and I-inch of Bituminous Surface Course Subclass I-II; or 3. Six inches of Pozzolanic Base Course Type A (State of Illinois Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Const- ruction) and 1-1/4 inch Binder Course and I-inch Surface Course Subclass I-II; or 4. Six and 1/2 inches Bituminous Aggregate Mixture Base Course (BANI) (two course construction) minimum design strength 1,700 lbs. Marshall stability and I-inch surface course Subcalss I-II. (b) Commercial and Industrial Streets. Minimum width of pavement for commercial and industrial streets shall be 40 feet back to back of curb consisting of: 1. Eight-inch reinforced (with pavement fabric) concrete pavement with integral curb; or ~. ,~"',~ .,-. _.. 2. Thirteen inches of Waterbound Macadam Base Course, 2 inches of Bituminous Concrete Binder Course and 1-1/2 inches of Surface Course Subclass I-II per Standard Specification for Road and Bridge Construction; or 3. Eight inches of Pozzolanic Base Course Type A (State of Illinois Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction)J and 1-1/2 inches of Bituminous Concrete Binder Course and: 1 inch of Surface Course Subclass I-II. (Coflt.se 8gJSregate shall be grade 8 stone for Pozzolanic Base Course). 4. Eight inches of Bituminous Aggregate Mixture Base Course (BAM) two course construction, minimum design strength 1,700 lbs. Marshall stability and 1-1/2 inches of Surface Course Subclass I-II per State of Illinois Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. Curb and gutter on flexible commercial and industrial streets shall be Type B. 6-12 per Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. (c) The Bituminous Concrete Wearing Course on residential, industrial and corrnnercial streets shall conform to specifications for Bituminous Binder and Surface Courses Fine Dense Graded Aggregate TYPe Subclass I-II of the State of Illinois Standard Specificat- ions for Road and Bridge Construction. SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith I are hereby repealed. SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its approval, passage, and publication in the manner provided by law.
