ORDINANCE NO. 2106
AN ORDINANCE VACATING PORTION OF THAYER AVENUE VJEST OF KENILVJORI'H AVENUE

WHEREA.S, the President and Board. of Trustees of the Village' of
Mount Prospect>have signed a consent decree in order to preserve the best
interests of the Village of Mount Prospect and terminate Case No. 65L9036; and
WHEREAS, by the terms of said decree the Village Board. of Trustees
have agreed to vacate portion of Thayer street, more fully described hereinafter
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF fJIOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the follo"\iJing portion of Thayer Street shall be
and is hereby vacated, to wit;
The West 150.0 feet of the East 226.0 feet of Thayer Street
lying West of the East line of Kenilworth Avenue in Mount Prospect,
all in the first addition to Centralwood, being a subdivisions.
in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 33, Township 42 North, Range li,
East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION 2: That the Village shall retain upon the above-described
tract a utility easement of and upon the South Ten (10) feet of said lot.
SECTION 3: That the following Sixteen (16) foot alley shall be and
is hereby vacated, to wit:
The Sixteen (16) foot public alley lying South of the Southerly line
of Lots 1 and 2 and North of the Northerly line of lot 3 and East
of the Westerly line of lots 1 through 6 and ~lest of the Easterly,
line of the said lots 1 through 6, all in the first addition to
Centralwood, being a subdivision in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 33,
Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian
in Cook County, :Ellinois.
SECTION 4: That the Village Clerk, of the Village of Mount Prospect
is hereby directed to file in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook
County, Illinois, a copy of this Ordinance, together with an accurate map of .r'
the territory vacated. \ l
SECTION 5: This ordinance shall be, in full force and efrect from
and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner prescribed by law.
