AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT TO INCLUDE THE
CENTRAL ROAD CORRIDOR PLAN
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect did
adopt the Official Comprehensive Plan for the Village of Mount Prospect through passage
of Ordinance No. 4681 on November 15, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have
amended the Official Comprehensive Plan from time to time; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have
determined that it would be in the best interest of the Village to further amend the Official
Comprehensive Plan for the Village of Mount Prospect to include the Central Road
Corddor Plan as part of the Appendix of the Official Comprehensive Plan.
WHEREAS, pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/11-12-7 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes, the Plan
Commission of the Village of Mount Prospect held a Public Hearing on November 15,
1995 pursuant to proper legal notice being published in the Mount Prospect Journal and
Topics on October 18, 1995 to consider the proposed change in the Official
Comprehensive Plan as specified hereinabove; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have recognized the importance of
developing corridor plans as part of the Official Comprehensive Plan and have determined
that the best interests of the Village would be served by amending the Official
Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Mount Prospect to include the Central Road
Corridor Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
do hereby amend the Official Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Mount Prospect and
include the Central Road Corridor Plan as part of the Appendix of the Official
Comprehensive Plan.
SECTION TWO: The Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect is hereby authorized
and directed to file notice of the amendment to the Official Comprehensive Plan of the
Village of Mount Prospect with the Cook County Recorder of Deeds, as provided by the
Statutes of the State of Illinois.
SECTION THREE: The Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect is hereby directed
to publish, in pamphlet form, said Central Road Corridor Plan as an amendment to the
Official Comprehensive Plan for the Village of Mount Prospect, pursuant to the Statutes
of the State of Illinois made and provided.
SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
omprehensive Plan
