AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEaJ."lION 23.107 PROHIBTIING THE INTERFERENCE WITH
FIRE HYDRANTS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VIILAGE OF
MOUNT PROSPECT t COOK COUNTY $ IILINOIS:
SECTION 1: That Section 23.107 of the Municipal Code of the
Village of Mount Prospect of 1957$ as amended$ is hereby further amended
by adding thereto a new paragraph (a) so that Section 23.107, paragraph (a)
shall be and read as follows:
(a) It shall be unlawful for any person excepting those
duly authorized by the Village of Mount Prospect to open,
turn on, turn off$ interfere with, attach any pipe or
hose to or connect anything with any fire hydrant, stock
valve or stock cock. It shall further be unlawful for any
person to obstruct access to any fire hydrant within the
Village of Mount Prospect by placing around or adjacent
thereto any stone, building material or structure of any
kind or willfully or carelessly damaging the same in any
m:mner.
SECTION 2: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect after
its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
