HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 2124 12/17/1968 ~ ~, ..- -\ ORDINANCE NO. 2124 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.6.2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1002, AND ESTABLISHING PLUMBING CODE AS ARrICLE VI OF CHAPrER 21 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE WHEREAS, the Building Committee of the Board of Trustees have recorrnnended new Articles to and codifying of the Building Code of the Village of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS, the Building Corran1ttee of the Board of Trustees have recommended establishing fee sChedules within Article XIV of Chapter 21 of the Municipal Code of flbunt Prospect of 1957, as amended; and for the sake of consistency do now recommend the amendment of Section 2.6.2. of Ordinance No. 1002 in a manner corresponding with Section 21.1403 of Article 14 of the said Chapter 21 as well as the incorporation of the said Ordinance No'. 1002 within Article VI of the said Chapter 21; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have reviewed the matter herein and have determined that the adoption of the recorrnnendation of the said Building Corrnnittee will be in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNrY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That Section 2.6.2 of Ordinance Number 1002, passed and approved by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect on October 20, 1964 be and is hereby amended so that the said section shall be and read as follows: "2.6.2 WATER MAIN TAP-ON FEES (a) Fees for permits for connections with water mains, pursuant to Article VI of the Chapter shall be calculated per diameter and length. (1) A "tap" shall be construed to mean any service line up to and including fifteen (15) feet in length from the shut off box to the water main. (2) A "short tap" shall be construed to mean any service line in excess of fifteen (15) feet but not more than forty-five (45) feet in length from the shut-off box to the water main. (3) A "long tap" shall be construed to mean any service line in excess of forty-five (45) feet in length from the shut-off box to the water main. (b) Tap-on fees shall confonn with the following shcedule: Service Pipe Diameter Tap $150.00 225.00 300.00 Short tap $200.00 290.00 380.00 One (1) inch One and a half (l~) inch Two (2) inch (1) The above fees include charges for labor, rounding stop cocks, stop boxes, goose necks, gate valves, and other related tap-on materials which shall be supplied by the Public Works Department of the Village of Mount Prospect. .~ /"", .- /-, (2) A fifty ($50.00) dollar permit fee shall be assessed for larger diameter serVice pipe connections than those listed above and for all long taps. In such instances all tap-ons shall be made by pressure connection and valve on water main by the pltmlbing contractor who must furnish all labor and material." SECTION 2: That the entire Ordinance Number 1002, called the "Plumbing Code of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois", and as it is amended by Section One herein, shall be and is hereby incorporated within Article VI of Chapter 21 of the Municipal Code of Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended. SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
