McGovern scheduled a meeting of this Committee ittee for irmnediatel,y following the 3/11 special Plan Commission session* The pr i arir emphasis will be upon finishing the correc- tions to the Made and review of the map., Mr. Velasco, our delegate to the BDDRC O attended that group's recent meeting ;dor a report on the Downtown Plan. He distributed some literature showing plans for the new Village Public Works Facility and information on the referendum* He noted that BDDRC had discussed the Busse (Wille to Maple) plan, and pedestrian traffic in the downtown area. They also discussed 'TIF along Northwest Highway and the need for offices i n downtown Mount Prospect* (Mr. Velasco disputes this ;latter point ,about demand for offices)* BDDR,C also discussed the possibility of condomin- iums in this area, facade work, the Central Plaza and the Little America restaurant* Mr. Velasco Is of the opinion that substan- tial work remains to be completed before BDDRC can present their Downtown Plan recommendation to the Comprehensive Plan Committee and the Plan Commission. Mr. McGovern suggested that we present the Plan, as revised thus far, to this Commission and the Board for approval, and then further amend it at such time as BDDR.0 has f in ished their portion. Other items which surfaced were . The Commission should .have received .. prior notice about the recent annexation of 50 acre .. Layouts and information about the proposed uses .. solicitation of a Commission recommendations for this site Possibility of having a Plan Commission delegate attend the Village Board meeting so that they may be informed directly of Commission decisions and recommendations* Lion Weibel requested that Staff provide a. layout of the 54 acre annexation site for the next meeting. "Louis Velasco volunteered to bring an aerial neap of that area. Mr. Velasco ,also cited other areae which might be annexed and whish should be studied; assistance and other data might be requested from the Staff, Mr. Boege requested clarification about the southeast corner of Rand and Euclid since the comprehensive Plan shows that Parcel in Arlington Heights, but the zoning map shows it as RX for Mount Prospect. Torn McGovern will bring in counter maps of this area. ADJOURNKENT There being no ;further business, the Chairman declared the Plan Commission meeting adjourned at 9:15 P . M .
