ORDINANCE NO. 2140 :AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 19.704 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE WHEREAS, the Public Health and Safety Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect did meet at the Village Hall on January 15, 1969, at the hour of 8:00 P.M. and did hold a pUblic meeting in the manner provided by law; and WHEREAS, the said Public Health and Safety Committee did consider the problems besetting builders during the winter time; and WHEREAS, the said Public Health and Safety Committee by a vote of 2-0 have recommended to the President and Board of Trustees adoption of the amendment contained herein; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have reviewed the matter herein and have determined that the same is for the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect; NOW J THEPEFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That Section 19.704 of Article VII of Chapter 19 of the Municipal Code of Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding thereto provisions for open fires when a necessary incident to building construction between November 15 and March 15 of each winter, so that the said Section 19.704 shall hereafter be and read as follows: Section 19.704. Open Fires. With the exception of outdoor cooking, the open burning of salvage material, refuse, paint, oil, debris or any other combustible material wiPndal the corporate limits of the Village of ~10unt Prospect shall be prohibited and SUbject to citation. Upon notice to and permission granted by the Village Manager, the further exceptions are allowable, being fires in conjunction with holidays and festive celebrations and other occasions, or fires as a necessary incident to building construction between November 15 and March 15 only, or the burning of dead or diseased vegetation or similar debris \^lhEn no other method of disposal is feasible, or by fires set and attended by personnel of the Mount Prospect Fire Department in the course of duty. SECTION TWO: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner prescribed by law. AYES: 6 NAYS: () P J\..SSED AND APPROVED this
