ORDINANCE NO. 2142
AN ORDINANCE PENUMBERING CERI'AIN LarS AND BUILDINGS ALONG EAST EMMERSON LANE
IN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, the Fire and Police Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect, on October 7, 1968 did meet with affected residents of
newly annexed Fairview Gardens to determine the status of Emnerson Lane
reflecting north and south numbers and to avoid future confusion of the same
with Emerson Street, also reflecting north and south numbers; and
WHEREAS, the Fire and Police Corrmittee, on October 15, 1968, has reconnnended
to the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect to change certain
numbers along the said Emnerson Lane in order to designate the said Emrr.erson
Lane as an east - west street within the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
have reviewed the said reconnnendation of the Fi.re and Police Committee and
believe that the same is for the best interests of the Village of Mount
Prospect;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUS'IEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That pursuant to the authority granted to the Village of Mount
Prospect under the Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 24, Section 11-80-18,
numbering of the following lots and any buildings thereon shall be changed
and shall hereafter be as follows:
(a) The fonner even numbers 120 through and including 100 along
:Emmerson Lane shall become odd numbers 1419 through and in-
cluding 1439 respectively; and
(b) The fonner odd numbers 125 through and including 103 along
Emmerson Lane shall become even numbers 1412 through and
including 1434 respectively.
SECTION TWO: That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to notify each of
the landowners of such lots by letter and inform them of their new house
numbers .
SECTION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by
law.
