ORDINANCE NO. 2172
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING 13.63 ACRES LYING WEST OF WELLER CREEK, EAST OF BUSSE
ROAD AND SOUTH OF A LINE 777.56 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF CENTRAL ROAD
WHEREAS, the land hereinafter described is contiguous to and whol15nbounded
on all sides by the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the said territory is not presently within the boundaries of any
municipality;
WHEREAS, the said property comprises less than sixty (60) acres; and
WHEREAS, the Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 24, Section 7-1-13 provide
for the annexation of such territory by the Village upon passage of an
Ordinance pursuant thereto; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect,
Cook County, Illinois, find and believe it to be in the best interests of
the Village of Mount Prospect that the said land and territory be annexed
thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That all land and territory legally described as follows, to-wit
The South 560 feet of Lot "F" and the South 560 feet of
Lot "J" lying west of the center line of Weller Creek and
that part of Lot "K" lying west of the center line of Weller
Creek and North of a line drawn from a point on the West
line of said Lot "K" which is 283.66 feet North of the
Southwest corner of s. cUd Lot "K" and which runs East from the@z
aforesaid point along a line parallel to the South line
of said Lot "K" all in Kirchoff's Subdivision of the
Northwest 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 and the North 10 chains of
the Southwest 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 11,
Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian.
which territory is not presently within the boundaries of any municipality
but is in the unincorporated territory of Cook County, iscontig\,1ous to the
Village of Mount Prospect, is wholly surrounded by the Village of Mount
Prospect, and comprises 13.63 acres and is, therefore less than sixty (60)
acres in size; be and is hereby annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect
so that hereafter said territory shall be included within the boundary lines
and limits of the Village of Mount Prospect - as is by law in such case
made and provided.
SECTION TWO: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect is
hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordinance together with
an accurate plat of said territory with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County,
Illinois.
SECTION THREE: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval according to law.
