HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 2173 08/05/1969 /~lt...\ ,....."" ," " ~ ORDINANCE NO. 2173 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING MAP 6N OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT ZONING ORDINANCE WHEREASs the Plan Commission of the Village of Mount Prospect heretofore on June 20s 1969 did conduct a Public Hearing pursuant to proper legal notice under Case No. 69-23P on a request to rezone certain property hereinafter described from R-l (Single Family Residence) to B-3 (Business-Retail & Service); and WHEREASs the Plan Commission has determined that the zoning change in that area would in no way be detrimental to the Village of Mount Prospect and has recommended that the zoning change be granted with the conditions howevers that construction of a United States Post Office shall have commenced within thirty (30) months of the date hereof; and WHEREASs the Judiciary Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect did meet on July 8s 1969 and reviewed Case No. 69-23B and has determined that said recommendation of the Plan Commission would be in~the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect; and WHEREASs the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have determined that the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect will be attained by the adoption of the Plan Commission recommendation in Case No. 69-23P regarding the subject property; NOWs THEREFOREs BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECTs COOK COUNTYs ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That Map 6N of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Mount Prospects as amendeds be and is hereby further amended by reclassifying from R-l (Single Family Residence District) to B-3 (Business-Retail & Service District) the following described property: The West 70 feet of Lots One to Nine inclusive in Block Three (3) in the Ernst Busse Addition to Mount Prospects A Subdivision of the South 543 feet of the East Half (1/2) of the Southwest Quarter (1/4) in Section 34s Township 42 North, Range lIs East of the Third Principal Meridian. SECTION TWO: That this Ordinance shall be null and void and of no force or effect whatsoever: until after its passage, approvals publication. and a permit for the construction of a United States Post Office shall have been issued by the Department of Building and Zoning of the Village of Mount Prospect and such construction commenced within thirty (30) months of the date hereof; and that prior to the issuance of such permit the builder shall have submitted building plans and shall have recorded a plat of resubdivision with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.
