ORDINANCE NO. 2178
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE SJlLARY OF THE VILLAGE MANAGER FDR FISCAL
1969.;.1970.
vlHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
passed and adopted Ordinance No. 2011; and
v,1HEREAS, said Ordinance stated under Section 4.104 that "the Village Manager
shall receive such compensation as the Village Board shall fix from time to
time by Ordinance or Resolution"; and
lIJREREAS, Chapter 24, Section 5-4-2 requires that the salary of the Village
Manager be set by Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees has reviewed and re-
comnended the budget for the fiscal year 1969-70 wherein the salary estab-
lished for the Village Manager was set at a figure of Sixteen-Thousand-Fi ve-
Hundred Dollars ( $16,500. ); and
WHEREAS, the Committee of the i..]hole of the President and Board of Trustees
has recomnended that the salary of the new Village r1anager be computed at an
annual rate of Eif".,hteen-Thousand-Seven-Hundred Dollars ($18,700.) for the
remainder of the year ending April 30, 1970;
NOllI, THEREFDRE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOU1\1T PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the salary fixed by the President and Board of Trustees
for services of the Village r.rianager shall be in the amount of Eighteen-
Thousand-Seven-Hundred Dollars (18,700.) for the fiscal year ending April 30,
1970.
SEGrION TVIO: That the rate of compensation for the fiscal year ending
April 30, 1970, shall be effective August 25, 1969;
SECTION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effective from
and after its passage, approval, and publication in the m.anner provided by
law.
