AN ORDINANCE ArJlFNDING M.A.P l6N OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PRQSPEer ZONING
ORDINANCE
WHEREAS t the Plan Conrnission of the Village of Mount Prospect heretofore
on July 18 t 1969 did conduct a Public Hearing pursuant to proper legal
notice under Case No. 69-27P on a request by the Village Adl'rinistration
to rezone certain property at 303 E. Kensington Road) known as Farmer
Cooper's and hereinafter legally described from the R-l District
(Single Family Residence) to the B-3 District (Business-Retail and
Service); and
w'HEREAS t the Plan Commission has determined that the zoning change in
that area would in no way be detrimental to the Village of Mount Prospect
and has recomnended that the zoning change be granted; and
WHEREAS J the Judiciary Cormnittee of the Board of Trustees of the Village
of lVbunt Prospect did meet on .August 26 J 1969 and reviewed Case No. 69-27P
and have determined that said recorrrnendation of the Plan Commission
would be in the best interests of the Village of f'lbunt Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of r-bunt
Prospect have determined that the best interests of the Village of
lVbunt Prospect will be attained by the adoption of the Plan Cornrrdssion
recommendation in Case No. 69-27P regarding the subject property;
NOW t THEREFORE J BE IT ORDAINED BY 'IRE PRESIDENT AND BOJl..RD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF lVJOUNT PROSPECl't COOK COUNTY J ILLINOIS:
SECl'ION ONE: That Map 16N of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village
of lVbunt Prospect J as amended, be and is heir'eby further amended by
reclassifying from R-l (Single Family Residence) District to B-3
(Business-Retail and Service) District the following described property:
The North four hundred (400) feet of the west one hundred
forty (140) feet of the east two hundred ei~.pty (280) feet
of that part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast
Quarter of Section Thirty-Four (34), Township 42 North,
Range Eleven (11), East of the Third Principal Meridian
lying Northeast of Rand Road, in Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION TWO: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval) and publication in the manner
provided by law.
