ORDINPNCE NO. 2191
PN ORDINANCE ANNEXING 12.741 ACRES AT THE NORIBEAST COFNER OF M':IER ROAD
AND IDNNQUIST BOULEVARD.
1:JHEREAS, the land hereinafter described is both contiguous to the Village of
~'bunt Prospect and wholly bounded on all sides by the Village of ~I'ount Pros-
pect and the Village of Arlington Heights; and
WHEREAS. the said territory is not presently within the boundarles of any
municipality; and
1tJHEREAS, the said property comprises less than sixty (60) C'_cres; and
WHEREAS, the Illinois Revised Statutes. Chapter 211, Sectlon 7-1-13 provide
for the annexation of such territory by the Villag;e upon passa~ of an
Ordinance pursuant thereto; and
1r,1P.EREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of JV:ount Pros-
pect, Cook County, Illinois. find and believe it to be in the best interests
of the Village of r.'bunt Prospect that the said land and territory be annexed
thereto;
NOW. THEREFOFE, BE 1'1' ORDAINED BY THE PFESIDENT AND BOAFD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF fJ:Oill1I' PROSPECl'. COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECl'ION O!\J'E: That all land and territory lep:ally described as follo\'lS, to wit
The South 329.39 feet of the lJlest 337.71 feet of Lot 1
in Cwners Division being a subdivision of the Southeast
1/4 (except the \'Jest 1/2 of the S6tithwest' 1/4 thereof) of
Section 10, Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third
Principal r.~ridian.
together with
The 1tJest 1/2 of Lots 1 and 4 in f'.'bier Brothers Subdivision,
being a subdivision of parts of Sections 10 and 15,
Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
~reridian, all in Cook County, Illinois
which territory is not presently within the boundaries of any municipality
but is in the unincorporated territory of Cook County, is contiguous to
the Village of Mount Prospect, is wholly surrounded by both the Village of
fv'TDunt Prospect and the Village of Arlington Heipo,hts, and comprlses 12.741
acres and is, therefore, less than sixty (60) acres in size; be and is
hereby annexed to the Village of tftount Prospect so that hereafter said
territory shall be included within the boundary lines and linlts of the
Village of Mount Prospect, as is by law in such case made and provided.
SECl'ION TV/O: That the Villap;e Clerk of the Village of ~.r:ount Prosnect is
hereby directed to record a certified copy of this Ordinance together t!dth
an accurate plat of said territory with the r..ecorder of Deeds of Cook County,
Illinois.
SECl'rON THREE: Tnat this Ordina11ce shall be in full force and effect from
