ORDINANCE NO. 2193
fu'J ORDL"IANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 7A OF THE r..uUCIPAL CODE
OF IVDUNT PROSPEm?
WHEPEAS, on June 18, 1967 the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of ~,lount Prospect did pass and approve Ordinance No. 2011, an Ordinance
amplifying the powers and duties of the Village Manager and establishing
various Departments; and
ltJHEREAS, the said Rrdinance No. 2011 amended Chapter 4 of the Municipal Code
of r,1ount Prospect of 1957, as amended, in its entirety; and
WrlEPEAS, the said Ordinance No. 2011 (Cnapter 4) created the Department of
Finance establishing the said Finance Department in Article 5 of the said
Chapter 4; and
v'lHEREAS, the Finance Committee of the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect did meet on September 15, 1969 at the Village Hall
to consider the repeal of Chapter 7A, which Chapter 7A had been created by
Ordinance No. 869, passed and approved on October 2, 1962; and
'\tJHEREAS, the Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect has recorrmended the repeal of Chapter 7 A by reason of having
been superceded by the passage of Ordinance No. 2011 creating a Department of
Finance in Chapter 4 of the Municipal Code; and
'v'iHEREAS, the President a."1d Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
have reviewed the subject matter herein and have considered the same for the
best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect;
NCM, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENr AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF r,10UNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Chapter 7 A I:epartment of Finance of the r\1unicipal Code of
the Village of tJIount Prospect of 1957, as amended, and Section 3 of Ordinance
No. 869, passed and approved October 2, 1962 be and the same is hereby repeal d.
SECTION TlllO: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
