A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT TO COMMIT
FUNDS FROM THE FLOOD CONTROL CONSTRUCTION FUND FOR USE IN
CONJUNCTION WITH REBUILD ILLINOIS GRANT
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois has
taken action to submit a Rebuild Illinois competitive public infrastructure application, and
WHEREAS, receipt of Rebuild Illinois grant assistance is essential to allow the Village of Mount
Prospect to undertake the Aspen Trails Park Stormwater Improvements to mitigate stormwater
flooding, and
WHEREAS, criteria are such that financial participation by the grantee is required in conjunction
with Rebuild Illinois funds, and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect has certain monies allocated for the above -
referenced project with cash on hand, as needed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Village of Mount Prospect does hereby
commit funds from its Flood Control Construction Fund for use in conjunction with a Rebuild
Illinois Public Infrastructure Grant, such funds to equal 46% of the estimated total project cost of
$9,314,337, or $4,314,337.

PASSED and APPROVED at its regular Village Board meeting, held on the 16th day of June,
2020.
