Rand Road: Bill Anagnostou, owner, and his attorney, George D. Karcazes, appeared before the Committee to request a Class R license (con- sumption with food only). Mr. Anagnostou assumed ownership of this 95 seat restaurant about a year ago, While business has been excellent, the owner believes he must offer liquor to his customers in order to remain competitive. A whole string of restaurants on both sides of Rand Road now offer liquor. The Committee voted 3-0 for the creation of a Class R license to be issued to Honey Bee Snack Shop, subject to the owner being able to meet the residency requirement. New Restaurant to bbuiltt 1904 Elmhurst Road: �...� _....e _ a. Kenneth F, Corbett and his attorney, Bernard Lee, presented plans for a new i million dollar restaurant and lounge to be built north of the Red Lobster Restaurant and south of Algonquin Road. The new establishment will be built on a 3.6 acre site by Kenneth F. Corbett Enterprises. Mr. Corbett, who presently owns 5 other lounges and 1 restaurant, is a resident of Mount Prospect at 1727 Crystal Lane, The restaurant being built was described as being structured in design to be the "finest in the area". Sales for the new restaurant are projected at 1.6 million dollars annually, Request was for a Class B license for serving liquor in the lounge and in conjunction with food service. The Committee voted 3-0 for creation of a Class B license to be issued to this new restaurant, as yet unnamed. Balµzamo Liquors, Colony Square Shopping Center: Anthony Sagliocca and his daughter, Anna deBenedictis, and their attorney, Paul Russo, made a presentation requesting a Class C license for a package goods store in the new Colony Square Shopping Center at Elmhurst Road and Oakton. The 2400 sq. ft. store will be owned and operated by Mr. & Mrs. Balzamo and their daughter, all of whom reside in the Village.
