Minutes of the meeting of Decemter 15, 1978
Present: Chairman Ronchetto, Commissioners Bachhuber, Beier, Clauser, Hallman,
Hasse, Hieue, Linkman. Finance Director, Richard Jesse, Assistant Finance
Director Bill. Tankard
Chairman Ronchetto called the meeting to order at 8135 am.
Commr. Hasse moved that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved, Seconded,
Commr. Bachhuber. Approved unanimously (8-0)
Mount Prospect Finance Director Dick Jesse addressed the Commission on the new forin
that will be used in this years budget preparation. A general discussion ensued.
Commr. Haase suggested that the Commission perform another study of the Puhlic Works
Department with members volunteering time Or specific areas of study. He will develop
-w-wnthis poogram into Oudy groups 6o that individual commissioners may Yespond.
Commissioners Clauser and Hallman were named a sub -committee to study possilae ways to
maximize efficiency of inspections by the various departments sunh as Board of Health
and Fire Freventionp with a view toward ascertaining the feasibility of combining any
of these inspections with resulting economies.
Data. processing costs and methods were discussed. The use of contractors and part-time
employees by businesses as a method of cutting expenses was discuosed 1xiefly. Chairman
Ronchetto requested that commissioners review the budget and suggest areas the Commission.
should voncentrate on and note their interest In assisting the study.
The next meeting vas scheduled for Saturday, January 13 at 8:30 am
Chairman Ronchetto adjourned the meeting at 9;45 am.
