Mount Prospect Finance Commission
Minutes of the meeting of February 4, 1978

Attendings Chairman Ronchetto, Commrs. Bachhuber, Beier, Vice Chairman Hasse,
Commissioners Hiehle & Miller. Ed Ceick, Assistant Village Manager.
Chairman Ronchetto called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.
A discussion ensued on the Commission's action at the last meeting concerning recommendation
#2 of the report opposing free vehicle stickers.
Comir. Hasse moved that the Commission defer reporting this recommendation to the Mayor
and hoard of Trustees until the Commission can reconsider this action at the next meeting.
Seconded by Commr. Bachhuber. Passed 6-0.
Chairman Ronchetto updated the Commission on his subcommittee report on "Survey of
Other Municipalities".
Commr. Bachhuber then moved that the report be approved as amended and forwarded •to
the Mayor and Board of Trustees for consideration. Seconded by Commr. Hasse. Passed 6-0.
Commr. Hasse's subcommittee report on training and meeting expenses was read and
discussed. Commr. Miller moved it be approved as amended and forwarded to the Mayor
and Board of Trustees for consideration. Seconded by Commr. Beier. Passed 6-0.
Commr. Miller updated the Commission on his subcommittee's report on the Legal Department
and a di,_�cussion ensued. Commr. Miller stated his report would be completed and presented
to the next meeting for action.
Commr. Beier presented his report on -the Police Department costs and outlays. This
report then came under discussion. It was agreed the �"tarw mi.;��:koners would review
the police budget with a view toward developing further input for this continuing
study.
The next Commission meeting was shceduled for Thursday, February 23, 1978.
Chairman Ronchetto adjourned the meeting.
