JUNE 10, 1986
CALL TO ORDER
President Pairitz called the meeting to order at 8:15 AM
ROLL CALL
Present upon roll call: Lawrence A. Pairitz, Fire Chief/President
Richard L. Jesse, Treasurer/Comptroller
Del Ulreich, Firefighter
Randy Werderitch, Firefighter
George Cullens, Retired Firefighter
Carol A. Fields, Village Clerk/Secretary
Absent: Ron Olsen, Firefighter
Carolyn H. Krause, Mayor
Village Attorney
REQUEST FOR DISABILITY BENEFITS
A request has been received from Firefighter/Paramedic Robert Kooiker
for disability benefits.
Robert Kooiker has experienced back problems and has not been on active
duty for a month. It was the direction of the Pension Fund Board
that three medical opinions be secured. Dr. Lidge is Firefighter
Kooiker's physician and the Board agreed to accept that opinion, that
of Dr. Zydlow and opted to have Dr. Magee as the third physician's
opinion.
The Secretary was directed to forward the "A,B,C" job description to
Firefighter Kooiker in order for the physicians to have a base for
determining whether he could return to duty.
As soon as these three medical reports are received, the Medical
Committee and Pension Board will review and discuss the request at the
next regular meeting or a special meeting will be called.
A request has been received from Chief Lawrence A. Pairitz for
retirement benefits. Chief Pairitz has attained the age of 50 years
and has been a member of the Fund over 20 years.

The Treasurer presented the following information:
Date of Birth: 9-26-34
Date of Entry: 2-15-61
Date of Resignation: 7-15-86
Base Salary: $56,100.00
Advanced Firefighter: 750.00
Longevity: 700.00
$57,550.00 : 12 = $4,795.83
Monthly salary of $4,795.83
x 50% for 20 years of service $2,397.92
Additional amount for months of
service over 20 years @ 1/12 of 2%:
65 months @ .00166667 = .108334
x monthly salary of $4,795.83 519.55
Total Monthly Pension $2,917.47
Del Ulreich, seconded by Randy Werderitch, moved to approve the request
for retirement benefits received from Chief Lawrence A. Pairitz, in
accordance with the calculations listed above.
Upon roll call: Ayes: Jesse,
Nays: None
Abstain: Pairitz
Motion carried.
Ulreich, Werderitch, Cullens, Fields,
David Jepson, Village Director of Finance, discussed the subject of the
financial investment consultant, stating that Mr. Fred Neal has
submitted his proposal that would meet the needs of both the Fire and
Police Pension Fund requirements. The annual fee for these services
will be $12,000, divided 50/50 between the Fire and Police Pension
Funds. Mr. Neal will make quarterly reports and will attend meetings
if desired.

Del Ulreich, seconded by Richard Jesse, moved to accept the proposal
submitted by Fred Neal and authorize Mr. Neal to assume the position of
financial investment consultant for the Firemens Pension Fund.
Upon roll call: Ayes: Jesse, Ulreich, Werderitch, Cullens, Fields,
Pairitz
Nays: None
Motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
Del Ulreich, seconded by Randy Werderitch, moved to adjourn this
special meeting.
Upon roll call: Ayes: Unanimous
Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:08 AM.
