Pairitz, President of the Board, called the meeting to order at 8:00 A.M. ROLL CALL Present upon roll call: Lawrence A. Pairitz, Fire Chief/President Richard L. Jesse, Treasurer Ron Olsen, Firefighter Del Ulreich, Firefighter Carol A. Fields, Village Clerk/Secretary Absent: Carolyn H. Krause, Mayor George Cullens, Retired Firefighter Village Attorney . Vacant position (formerly held by Lt`. Donald E. Barra) APPROVE MINUTES Richard Jesse, seconded by Ron Olsen, moved to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of the Firemens Pension Fund meeting held January 21, 1985. Upon roll call: Ayes: Pairitz, Jesse, Olsen, Ulreich, Fields Nays: None Motion carried. TREASURER'S REPORT Richard Jesse, Treasurer, presented the financial report dated March 31, 1985. Carol Fields, seconded by Del Ulreich, moved to accept the Treasurer's Report. Upon roll call: Ayes: Pairitz, Jesse, Olsen, Ulreich, Fields Nays: None Motion carried. COMMITTEE REPORTS Medical Committee No report. Finance Committee - No report. OLD BUSINESS None. Firemens Pension Fund April 15, 1985 Page 2 of NEW BUSINESS The annual election for Board members from within the Fire Department was held. Two positions were open: one three (3) year term and the unexpired term of Lt. Donald Barra, which left one (1) year to serve. The .following members of the Fire Department placed their names of the ballot for the specified terms: One Year (unexpired term of Lt. Donald Barra) Term: Name Votes Received Alan Labbe 36 Les Wuollett 23 Donald Reynolds 1 Thomas Kelly 1 Thomas Lynch 1 Three Year Term: Del Ulreich 37 Randy Werderitch 13 Donald Reynolds 6 Robert Clark 4 Mark Bauer 1 Mark Ceicel 1 Del Ulreich, seconded by Carol Fields, moved to declare Alan Labbe the person receiving the highest number of votes for the one (1) year position available on the Pension Board. Upon roll call: Ayes: Pairitz, Jesse, Olsen, Ulreich, Fields Nays: None Motion carried. Richard Jesse, seconded by Ron Olsen, moved to declare Del Ulreich as the person receiving the highest number of votes for the three (3) year position on the Pension Board. Upon roll call: Ayes: Pairitz, Jesse, Olsen, Ulreich, Fields Nays: None Motion carried. Alan Labbe and Del Ulreich took their seats on the Board. The subject of the cost for medical_ insurance for retired members and widows was discussed, noting that the Police Pension Firemens Pension Fund April 15, 1985 Page 3 of 3 Fund Board was requesting consideration to reduce the amount paid by the members. Inasmuch as good investments had resulted in total funding of both Pension Funds resulting in a reduced tax levy, it was noted that possibly a portion of the medical insurance could be relieved from the members. The amount being paid presently is approximately $180.00 a month. No action was taken since it was determined this subject was not an item for consideration by a Pension Board. There was also discussion on the subject of credit for volunteer service time. At this time there are no provisions in State law covering this subject.
