MOUNT PROSPECT FIREMEN'S PENSION FUND BOARD
JUNE 23, 1983
CALL TO ORDER
Board'President Pairitz called the meeting to order at 8:00 A.M.
ROLL CALL
Present upon roll call: Fire Chief Lawrence A. Pairitz, President
Carolyn H. Krause, Mayor
Richard L. Jesse,'' Treasurer
Lt. Donald Barra, Firefighter
Ronald Olson, Firefighter
Carol A. Fields,' Village Clerk/Secretary
Absent: George Cullens, Retired -Firefighter
Del'Ulreich, Firefighter
Village Attorney -
It was stated that Firefighter Robert Penze had tendered his
resignation from the Mount Prospect Fire Department to pursue
his education. Firefighter Penze had submitted'a written
request for a'refund of contributions he made to the Mount
Prospect Firemen's Pension Fund.
As stated in the written application for refund, Firefighter
Penze was appointed to the Mount Prospect Fire Department on
September`30, 1974, with his resignation effective 0800 on
June 18, 1983.
Lt. Donald Barra, seconded by Firefighter Ronald Olson,, moved
.to,authorize a refund to Firefighter Penze in the amount of
$13,925.89, being his total contributions.
Upon roll call:, Ayes: Pairitz, Krause:, Jesse, Barra,
Olson, Fields
Nays: None
Motion carried.
It was noted that since the Village had recentlyadopted the
deferred taxing procedures for pension contributions, $313.00
of the amount refunded to Firefighter Penze 'is 'taxable.
Having received a fully executed Application for Membership
in the Mount Prospect Firemen's Pension Fund submitted by
Firefighter/Paramedic Thomas M Willming,, Lt. Donald Barra,
seconded by Carol Fields, moved to ,accept Thomas.Willming
into the Pension Fund.
Upon roll call: Ayes: Pairitz, Krause, Jesse, Barra,
Olson, Fields
Nays: None
Motion carried.
