Call to Order 9:04 am
Members in Attendance Vicki Busse, Maura Drew, Fred Steinmiller, Brian Lambel, Brenda Sawyer,
Jill Friedrichs, Teresa VanOpdorp, Christina Greco and Mike Cassady
Members Absent Tarina Wimmer, Sandy DiCaro and Haley Schecter
Guests Blayke VanOpdorp
Motion to accept the Minutes from January 4, 2020 SEC meeting made by
Christina Greco, seconded by Mike Cassady. No discussion. Motion approved unanimously.
Treasurer Report Report is incorrect; therefore not accepted. It is a work in progress, there is still
money in PayPal and other deposits not taken into account. Teresa will be meeting with someone from
Finance.
VoMP Gala Wrap -Up
Attendance 440 RSVP'ed and there were approximately 10 no-shows.
Photography would like to discuss with village and split cost with them.
A/V and Sound horrible, once again problems with sound — can't hear in back of room. A/V employees
told Teresa "this is how it's done". We will be demanding more sound. Teresa has already begun work
for next years event to correct the problems. Also, would like to split this cost with village.
Food the upgraded chicken kabob was great cost was $2 per person.
Drinks the White Claw was a good addition, went over well. Joanne behind the bar brought a fresh feel.
She had wide variety of new drink selections.
Tablescapes spot on. There were several guests that asked to take wood discs and greenery home.
Set -Up Public Works set-up the day before. The Friday evening event moved the wheeled banner that
evening for the Saturday morning event. Anna, Purple Rose Florist, did a wonderful job. Teardown was
quick, thank you to all that helped.
Thank You to Cindy at Nothing Bundt Cake. Plated desserts was great idea.
Thank You to Hubby's in the House Hot Dogs.
Bike Ride will be August 15th.
New Year's Eve Eve (NYEE) The Mount Prospect Junior Woman's Club has asked if the SEC would
like to relinquish hosting this event. Motion to give Mount Prospect Junior Woman's Club control of
NYEE made by Vicki Busse, seconded by Fred Steinmiller. Discussion held. Motion approved
unanimously.
