ORDINANCE NO. 2235
AN ORDINANCE VACATING PORTION OF WE-GO TRAIL
WHEREAS, the Mount Prospect Park District has a need for a portion of We-Go
Trail south of Man-A-Wa Trail for golf course purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Mount Prospect Park District owns the properties on either side of
and abutting that portion of We-Go Trail to be vacated; and
\AJHEREAS, in consideration of the vacation herein, the Mount Prospect Park Dis-
trict has agreed to cooperate with the Village of Mount Prospect in the irrprove-
I ments of the rights-of-way of Lonnquist Boulevard west of Busse Road and of
William Street south of Weller Creek; and
WHEREAS, the Judiciary Committee of the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect did meet at 8 :00 p.m. on February 12, 1970 at the
Village Hall to consider the proposal of the Mount Prospect Park District; and
WHEREAS, the said Judiciary Committee has recommended to the President and Board.
of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect the vacation of We-Go Trail for
Park District purposes with the Village retaining an easerrent thereon to service
existing sewer and water lines; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees believe such vacation is in the
best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, authorization has been granted the President and Board of Trustees to
make such vacation pursuant to Section 11~91-1 of the Illinois Municipal Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
, VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE:

That the following portion of We-Go Trail be and is hereby vacated
All that part of We-Go Trail in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 11,
Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal fo4eridian
lying South of the North line of Man-A-\tfa Trail extended West and
lying North of the North line of Lonnquist Boulevard together with(/)
all that part of \-\fe-Go Trail in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 11, /1
Township 41 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian /
lying South of the North line of Man-A-Wa Trail extended West and
lying North of the South line of the North 1/2 of Lot 14 extended
West in Block 24 in Propsect Park County Club Subdivision being a
subdivision of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 11 and the South 15
acres of the East 1/2 of the Northeast 1/4 of said Section 11, all
in Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Merid-
ian, in Cook County, Illinois.

SECTION THREE: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect is here-
by directed to file in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illi-
nois, a copy of this Ordinance, together with an accurate map of the territory
vacated.
SECTION FOUR: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
