ORDINANCE NO. 2237
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING 2.87 ACRES soum OF CENTRAL ROAD
AND EAST OF RAND ROAD
WHEREAS. the land hereinafter described is both caltiguous to the Village of
. Mount Prospect and wholly bound en all sides by the Village of Mount Prospect
and the City of Des Plaines, and
WHEREAS, the said territory is not presently within the boundaries of any
municipality; and
WHEREAS, the said property conprises less than sixty (60) acres; and
WHEREAS. the Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 24, Section 7-1-13 provide for
the annxatien of such territory by the Village upal passage of an Ordinance
pursuant thereto; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect.
Cook County. Illinois. find and believe it to be in the best interests of the
Village of Mount Prospect that the said land and territory be annexed thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE J BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF mE
VIILAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECI', COOK COUNTY J IILINOIS:

SECI'ION ONE: That all land and territory legally described as follows, to-wit:
A tract of land described as comnencing at an ircn plate with cross
marking the Northwest comer of the Northwest Quarter of Section 7,
Township 41 North, Range 12 East of the Third Principal Meridian,
Maine TownshiP. Cook County. Illinois; thence East alalg the North
line of Sectial 7 a distance of 208.14 feet to a cross in the center
line of the pavement. for a point of beginning; thence East alcng
said North line of Sectial 7, a distance of 621.06 feet to a point; "
thence South at an angle of 910_1' turned from West to South, a W ~.....
distance of 403.8 feet to a point in the center line of Rand Road;
thence Northwesterly along said center line at an angle of 560-15' , / :::
turned from North to Northwesterly, a distance of 746.46 feet to the c(
place of beginning;
Which territory is not presently within the boundaries of any municipality X
but is in the unincorporated territory of Cook County, is caltiguous to the
Village of Mount Prospect, is wholly surrounded by both the Village of Mount
Prospect and the City of Des Plaines, and canprises 2.87 acres and is,
therefore, less than sixty (60) acres in size; be and is hereby annexed to
the Village of Mount Prospect so that hereafter said territory shall be in-
cluded within the boundary lines and limits of the Village of Mount Prospect -
as is by law in such case made and provided.
SECrION '!WO: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect is
hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordinance together with an
accurate plat of said territory with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County,
Illinois.
SECI'ION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect fran
