MINUTES OF THE MOUNT PROSPECT
SAFETY COMMISSION
I ALL T ORDER
The Regular Meeting of the Mount Prospect Safety Commission was called
to order at 7:30 P -M.

IV. NEW BU,SINESS
A. The Safety Commission reviewed a request to make Emerson Street
and Milburn Avenue a 3 -WAY STOP. Presently, Milburn Avenue has
a STOP SIGN at Emerson Street.
The Commission members opinion of installing additional stop signs
could cause traffic to be backed up to the train tracks.
Recommendation for Denial was passed unanimously.
B. The Safety Commission reviewed a request for painted cross walks at
the Mt. Prospect Plaza. It was noted that this was private property.
The Commission recommended the resident contact the property owner
for his request.
C. The Safety Commission reviewed a request to remove the Sunday
Parking restriction on the 200 block of south Pine Street. It was the
Safety Commission opinion that the parking restriction remain to give
the Fire Department access in the event of an emergency and
recommended unanimously for denial.
