SAFETY COMMISSION
April 4,1988
CALL TO ORDER
The regular Meeting of the Mount Prospect Safety
Commission was called to order at 7:35 P.M.
ROLL CALL
Present upon Roll Call:
Absent:
Lee Beening, Chairman
Arthur Coy, Commissioner
Tom Daley, Police Department
Drew Johanson, Engineering
Andrew Mitchell, Vice Chairman
Del Ulreich, Fire Department
III APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Commissioner Coy, Seconded by Tom Daley moved to
approve the Minutes of the regular Meeting of the
Safety Commission held March 7, 1988.

IV NEW BUSINESS
A) A request from Ms. Lois Jahn, Six N. Maple Street
for a Stop Sign on Milburn Avenue at Owen Street
was reviewed. Both streets are designated local
with low traffic volumes, no sight obstruction and
there has not been any reported accidents at this
intersection in the last five years.
Tom Daley, seconded by Commissioner Coy, moved to
recommend no action be taken since none of the
warrants for Stop Signs had been met.
Motion Passed Unanimously

B) A request from Mr. Weideman, 801 E. Prospect Ave.
to review the Two Hour Parking Limit on Prospect
Avenue in front of his property and also in front
of DMS Property was reviewed.
Tom Daley stated there has not been a parking
problem in the area since the former tenant of DMS
property left.
Commissioner Coy, seconded by Tom Daley, moved to
recommend no action be taken at this time.
Motion Passed Unanimously
