SAFETY COMMISSION
MAY 3, 1982
I. CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Mount Prospect Safety Commission was
called to order at 7:40 P.M.
II ROLL CALL
Present upon roll call: Andrew Mitchell, Chairman
Art Coy, Vice Chairman
Lee Beening, Secretary
Also present: James Hilliger, Fire Department
Tom Daley, Police Department
Drew Johanson, Engineering Division
Jackie Frank arrived at 7:50 P.M., and approximately 5 persons
in the audience.
III APPROVAL OF MINUTES
ommissioner Beening, seconded by Commissioner Coy, moved to
approve the minutes of the regular meeting of the Safety
Commission held March 1, 1982.
Motion was passed unanimously.
IV NEW BUSINESS
a
request rom Mrs. Bridgelt Carrico, 613 Glendale Lane for a BLACKHAWK DRIVE AND
street light at Blackhawk Dr. & Glendale Lane was reviewed. GLENDALE LANE
After discussing the matter with 3 of the 5 homeowners that
would be affected by the light it was the consensus of the
Safety Commission that the Village staff contact Commonwealth
Edison to establish the best type of fixture for the existing
pole between 613 and 615 Glendale Lane.
A request from Mr. Amodea, 1380 S. Elmhurst Road to install ROBERT DRIVE AND
a two-way Stop at Robert Drive and Palm Drive was reviewed. PALM DRIVE
After discussing the history of the intersection a motion
was made by Commissioner Beening and seconded by Commissioner
Coy to deny the request.
Motion was passed unanimously.
