M Present upon roll call: Andrew Mitchell, Chairman Art Coy, Vice -Chairman Lee Beening, Secretary Absent: Jackie Franks Also Present: James Hilliger, Fire Department Tom Daley, Police Department I Drew Johanson, Engineering Division APPROVAL OF MINUTES Commissioner Coy, seconded by Commissioner Beening, moved to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of the, Safety Commission held December 7, 1981, as amended, Motion was passed unanimously. womanw= A second request from Audrey Burian, 204 Audrey Lane, was reviewed for a stop sign for westbound Connie Lane at Audrey Lane. (Request was denied December 7, 1981.) Commissioner Coy, seconded by Commissioner Mitchell, moved to retain this in Committee and review it again when Mrs. Burian could be present. Motion was passed unanimously. NEW BUSINESS, A. A request from Mrs. Robert Hedwick, 111 S. Weller Lane, to prohibit parking on the east side of Weller Lane was reviewed. The Commission requested the Village staff to conduct a study of the area and report back at the February 1, 1982 meeting. B. The Commission i:eviewed the lane markings on Wheeling Road north of Kensington and how the parking on the west side affects southbound traffic. After discussion a motion was made by Commissioner Mitchell and seconded by Commissioner Coy to prohibit parking at any time on the west side of Wheeling Road from Kensington Road to a point 150 north of Kensington Road. Motion was passed unanimously. WELLER LANE Mi,utes of Safety Commission'Meeting of January 4, 1982 C. A request from the Village Manager was received to review the intersection of Central Road an& Emerson Street, After discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Coy and seconded by Tom Daley to prohibit turning left onto Central Road from north- bound Emerson Street.
