SAFETY COMMISSION
May 4, 1981
CALL TO ORDER

The regular meeting of the Mount Prospect Safety Commission was held in the
Village Hall on May 4, 1981. Chairman, Andrew Mitchell, called the meeting
to order at 7:45 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Present upon Roll Call: Andrew Mitchell - Chairman
Art Coy - Vice Chairman
Dennis Valentine - Village Traffic Engineer
John Savage - Deputy Police Chief
Lee Beening - Secretary
Absent: Harold Abrawski
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes of April 6, 1981 meeting of the Safety Commission were read and
approved.
NEW BUSINESS
A. Maple Street & Isabella Street — Request for Stop Signs at the intersection
of Maple Street and Isabella Street.
A'motion was made by Art Coy, seconded by Deputy Police Chief, John'
Savage.
After reviewing the request and the numerous existing Stop Signs in the
area, the Commission requested the Village Engineer to take traffic
counts of the area. The Commission also requested the Deputy Police
Chief, John Savage, to review any accident reports for further discussion
at our June .l, 1981 meeting.
B. Willow/Linneman/Church - Request for Stop Sign at the intersection of
Willow/Linneman/Church Road.
A motion was made by Art Coy, seconded by Deputy Police Chief, John
Savage.
After reviewing the request and the numerous existing Stop Signs in the
area, the Commission requested the Village Engineer to take traffic
counts of the intersection. The Commission also requested the Deputy
Police Chief to review any accident reports and report back to the
Commission on June 1`, 1981, at our regular meeting.
