President, Andrew Mitchell, called the meeting to order at 7:45 p.m. ROLL CALL Present upon Roll Call: Andrew Mitchell - President John Savage - Deputy Police Chief Dennis Valentine - Village Traffic Engineer Art Coy - Vice Chairman Lee Beening - Secretary Absent: Harold Abrawski AP�aroval of Minutes mom, The minutes of the March 2, 1981 meeting of the Safety Commission were read and approved. OLD BUSINESS i Pine Street: Request for two-hour parking signs on the 100 block of North Pine Street was reviewed thoroughly. After continued review and surveillance, the Safety Commission was unable to find an excessive parking problem. Rea_uest was denied by the Safety Commission. NEW BUSINESS ShaBonee Trail - No Parkin Request for No Parking along the north side of ShaBonee from We Go to See Gwun - the residents (100%) in attendance at the meeting presented a case for excessive parking along ShaBonne Trail. A motion was made by Art Coy, seconded by Deputy Chief John Savage, that No Parking signs be installed along Sha Bonee Trail from We Go to See Gwun. The motion was approved. Paul Box Letter - Stop Signs After considerable discussion, a motion was made by Art Coy and seconded by Andy Mitchell. Bushes be trimmed to proper height or removed from the Right -of -Way of Burning Bush and Yuma. Also remove the Stop sign on Burning Bush north and Southbound at Yuma. This reflects the view of the Safety Commission when the Crawford report was presented in 1976. Refer to the Safety commission minutes of June 7, 1976. The motion was approved.
