Emerson Mount Prospect, Illinois 60056 TERRANCE L.RD village managereager Phone 312 / 392-6000 February 17, 1981 Mrs. Cullen 105 North Pine Street Mount Prospect, IL 60056 Subject: Parking Restrictions North Pine Street Dear Mrs. Cullen, Following my discussions with you on January 15, 1981, and with Mr. Peter Sardo on January 14, 1981, the Village of Mount Prospect conducted a parking study in the 100 North Pine Block to determine the severity of the parking problem in the vicinity. On January 16, 1981, notices were initially placed on all vehicles parking in the 100 North Pine Street Block and again on Janaury 19 and 20, 1981. As shown on the attached tabulation of parked vehicles, it can be noted that the rate of all day parking significantly and has appeared to remain less. cde Based on the situation as found during the period of the traffic study, there appears to be a minimal parking problem and it would be my recommendation that parking restrictions should not be imposed at this time. Although I recognize that this is not what was reauested, I believe that the difficulty has been resolved and will monitor the situation in the future to insure that it does not deteriorate. Knowing that this recommendation is not what you had hoped for I am forwarding a copy of this letter to the Safety Commission for their recommendation. The next scheduled meeting of this commission is scheduled for Monday evening, March 2, 1981 at 7:30 in the Trustees' Room of the Village Hall. I would suggest that your representatives attend this meeting when the parking problem on Pine Street will be discussed. Mrs. Cullen 105 N. Pine St. Mount Prospect, IL 60056 February 17, 1981 Page 2 Subject: Parking Restrictions North Pine Street In the meantime, I could be pleased to meet with you prior to the meeting and discuss the report.
