Meeting Mi°nutes - October 6, 1980
The regular monthly meeting of the Mt. Prospect Safety Commission
was held in the Village Hall on October 6, 1980. Chairman Art Coy
called the meeting to order at 7:45 pm. Members in attendance
were Andy Mitchell, LeRoy Beening, Deputy Police Chief John Savage,
and Village Engineer Ben Hemmeter.
1) Prospect Point Homeowners Association - After reviewing Mr.
Glen Matter's letter of August 26, 1980 the Commission will request
Mr. Matter to attend our November 3, 1980 meeting to discuss the
problems they are having and try to better help them.
2) Request for a 4 way stop at Henry and Prospect - After reviewing
Mr. Patrick K. Sheehan's letter of September 4, 1980 and the existing
signing in the area the Commission asked Village Engineer Ben
Hemmeter to take traffic counts of the area and also asked Deputy
Police Chief John Savage to review any accident reports for further
discussion at our November 3, 1980 meeting. The Commission will also
ask Mr. Sheehan to attend
3) Request for a 4 way stop at Owen and Busse - After reviewing the
PTA's request and the numerous existing stop signs in the area the
Commission requested the Village Engineer to take traffic counts of
the area and also contact the PTA and request them to attend our
November 3, 1980 meeting. The Commission also requested the Deputy
Police Chief to review any accident reports and report back to this
Commissi°on at our next meeting.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 8:45 pm.
