MOUNT PROSPECT SAFETY COMMISSION
Minutes
January 8, 1979
The regular monthly meeting of the Mt. Prospect Safety Commission
was held in the Village Hall on January 9, 1979. The meeting was
called to order at 7:45 p.m. by Art Coy, Chairman. Other members
in attendance were: Andy Mitchell, Ben Scola, Harold Abramowski,
John Sauter, Engineering Technician, and Police Officer Bob Barone.
The minutes of the November 4, 1978 meeting and December 4, 1978
meeting were read and approved.
1. After reviewing the memorandum dated 12-22-78 from B.H.R.
Hemmeter to the Safety Commission, a motion was made by Ben Scola
that the Village make the.proposed changes in the Traffic Code as
outlined in the memo. The motion was seconded by Harold Abramowski
and passed. Copy of the memo is attached.
2.' After reviewing the Traffic Study at the intersection of Cedar
Lane and Wheeling Road, submitted by John Sauter, the Commission
agrees with his report. A motion was made by Ben Scola to remove
the one "Stop" sign on northbound Wheeling Road at Cedar Lane. The
motion was seconded by Harold Abramowski and passed.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at
9:05 P.M.
