Emerson Mount Prospect, Illinois 60056 MOUNT PROSPECT SAFETY COMMISSION October 1, 1979 Minutes The regular monthly meeting of the Mt. Prospect Safety Commission was held in the Village Hall on October 1, 1979. The meeting was called to -order by Chairman Art Coy at 7:55 p.m. Members present were: Engineering Technician John'Sauter, Police Officer Robert Barone, ben Scola, Harold Abramowski and Andy Mitchell. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Old business: 1. The Commission asked Ben Scola to investigate the garbage pickup at the Crystal Tower'Apartments and report back at the next meeting. 2. Lonnquist Boulevard between Meier Road & Crestwood Lane. The Commission discussed the lack of progress by the Village in resolving the very dangerous conditions where school children must walk in the street around the property. The Commission requests the Village Manager to supply this Commission with a progress report as to the condemnation of the property as directed by the Village Board on September 19, 1978. 3. The Commission discussed the Maple Street crossing and approved of its installation. New business: 1. Chairman Art Coy brought it to the attention of the Safety Commission about the safety hazards existing at the Central Road and Rand Road construction area; namely, signing, striping, signalizat.ion and pavement hazards. He recommended the Village investigate it for the benefit of the motoring public. 2. Election of new officers: After discussion, a motion was made by Officer Bob Barone that we keep the present officers for the next year. Motion was seconded by Harold Abramowski and passed.
