ORDINANCE NO. 2252 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING !\'TAP 9N OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPE~ ZONING ORDINANCE WHEREAS, the Plan Corrrnission of the Village of l\1ount Prospect here- tofore on August 21, 1970, did conduct a public hearing pursuant to proper legal notice under Case No. 70-8P on a request by the Village AdrPinistration to rezone certain property comprised of fifteen (15) acres on the east side of Rand Road, south of Louis Street and here- ' inafter legally described from the R-X District (Single Family Res- idence) to the B-3 District(Business-Retail and Service); and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village Of Mount Prospect did meet on September 1, 1970, and did review Case No. 70-8P and have determined that the rezoning petitioned for under Case No. 70-8P would be in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PFESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPE~, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SE~ION ONE: That Map 9N of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Mount Prospect, as arrended, be and is hereby further a.rrended by re- classifying from R-X District (Single Family Residence) to B-3 Dis- trict (Business-Retail and Service! the following described property: That part of the Northwest quarter of the South'i'lest quarter of Section 35, TO'i'ffiship 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the center line of Rand Road and a line 429.86 feet North of and parallel with the South line of said Northwest quarter of Southwest quarter; thence Northwesterly along the center line of Rand Road 367.99 feet to the West line of said Northwest quarter of Southwest quarter; thence North along the West line of said Northwest quarter of the Southwest quarter 573.56 feet to the North line of said Northwest quarter of the Southwest quarter; thence East along the North line of said Northwest quarter of Southwest quarter 508.71 feet; thence Southeasterly parallel with the center line of Rand Road 1031.38 feet to a line 429.86 feet North of and parallel with the South line of said Northwest quarter of Southwest quarter; thence West along said parallel line 838.69 feet to the place of beginning, (SUbject to the rights of the public in that part thereof lying in Rand Road), in Cook County, Illinois. ~ - ~. ~ ORDINANCE NO. 2252 ( Continued) SE~ION TWO: That this Ordinance shall be full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and pUblication in the manner provided by law.
