ORDINANCE NO. 2319 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE UNINCORPORATED AREAS KNOWN AS "CAMELOT" AND "NEW TOWN PROSPECT HEIGHTS" TO THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS, the Honorable Harry G. Comerford, Judge in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, pursuant to Sections 7-1-2 through 7-1-4 of Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes, has ordered that the question of annexation of the hereinbelow described territory be sub- mitted to the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect for final action; and WHEREAS, a certified copy of that Order of the Court has been received by the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect; and WHEREAS, the Administration of the Village of Mount Prospect has con- ducted an investigation and made an analysis of the land and territory described hereinbelow; and WHEFEAS, the said real estate hereinafter described is contiguous to the corporate limits of the Village of Mount Prospect and not within the corporate boundaries of any municipality; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, do believe it to be in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect that the properties herein- after described be annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That the territory and lands legally described as follows: "That partoE Sections 24, 25, 26, 35 and 36, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian described as follows; Beginning at the intersection of the South line of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 26, aforesaid, with the East line of Lot 350 extended South in Brickman Manor First Addition unit 3, being a subdivision of part of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 26, Township 42 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois; Thence North along the East line of said Lot 350 and said line extended to the North line of Ironwood Drive, as laid out in said Unit No.3; Thence East along said North line of Ironwood Drive to the Southeast corner of Lot 345 in said Unit 3; Thence North alongthe East line of said Lot 345 to the most Northerly corner of said Lot 345;. SECTION TWO: That the boundary lines and corporate limits of the Village of Mount Prospect be and the same are hereby enlarged and ex- tended so as to include with said boundary lines and corporate limits the above described land and territory. SECTION THREE: That the Village Clerk is directed to file with the Recorder of Deeds, Cook County, Illinois, a certified copy of this ordinancei a certified copy of the said Order of the Court in the matter of a petition to annex territory to the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, No.. 71 CO 526; and an accurate map of the above described land and territory. SECTION FOUR: That this ordinance shall be in full force and e~fect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
