HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 2294 04/06/1971 ~ t/ """ ORDINANCE NO. t2.cJ. p~ AN ORDINANCE N4ENDING b~P 42S OF THE MOUNT PROSPECT ZONING ORDINANCF WHEREAS;; tl1G President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect, Unity Ventures, Inc.;; and La Salle National Bank~ as Trustee under Trusts Nos. 3~35 and~66, h~retofore entered into a certain Anne~at1.on Agreement dated flit ,,- t, ;; 1971 ~ vIi t11 respect to the property hereinafter escribed, and miEP~AS, prior to the execution of said Annexation Agreement the Board of Appea.ls of the Village of Mount Prospect held a special joint meet- ing with the Mount Prospect Plan Commission on January 26, 1971; at the hour of 8~OO P.M. in the Mount Prospect Village Hall pursuant to notice published. in the Mount Prospect Herald on January 8~ 1971; and Hhm1EAS~ the Plan Commission of the Village of Mount Prospect heard testimony under Case No. 7'-lP pertaining to a request by Unity Ven- tures; Inc. for the rezoning of certain property upon annexation from the R-X District (Single Family Residence) to the B-3 District (Business- retail and Service); and WhEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Hount Prospect has filed a report with the Pres ident and Board of Trus tees recommending that tlli;;; rezoning be allowed for the reasons stated therein; and WHEEEAS ~ the said property has been annexed to the Village of llount Prospect pursuant to said Annexation Agreement; and ~VHEREAS) pursuant to Section Two of the aforesaid Annexation Asreemen t" the Village has agreed that it will adopt an oruinance amending its Zoning Ordinance so as to class ify the subj ect property \"I'i thin the B-3 Business - Retail and Service District; and WHEREAS~ the Village of Mount Prospect has given all of the notices and held all of the public hearings required by law to be held in connec- tion T'li th the approval of SUC:.l Annexation Agreement and of the zoning classification hereinafter authorized~ and :JHEREAS ~ the Pres ident and Bo ard of Trus tees of the Village 0 f Mount Prospect have reviewed the matter contained hereunder and determined that the same is in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect. NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT~ COOK COUNTY 9 ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That Map 425 of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Hount Pros~ect) Illinois~ as amended, ~hich map is incorporated by reference in Section 3 of the said Mount Prospect Zoning Ordinance) be, and its is hereby~ amended by adding thereto the following des- cribed property: EX ~BiL (!> ,? r"""""'- ,~""""...~.
