Recommended Action Approve a resolution authorizing the mayor to sign a grant of easement to Commonwealth Edison on Village -owned property at 301 South Maple Street (Maple Street Lofts mixed-use development project). Public Content Information Commonwealth Edison Company has requested a 10' wide easement along the western boundary of the Maple Street Lofts development site to facilitate distribution of electric power for planned new buildings and to replace an existing aerial service for Busse Automotive. The easement will extend from the northwest corner of the parcel to a terminus approximately 440 feet south where the easement will abut a proposed Dawson Drive roadway. This parcel is presently owned by the Village of Mount Prospect but title will soon transition to the project developer pursuant to the terms of a redevelopment agreement. Due to the potential for ownership uncertainty when this grant of easement is recorded, the plat has been prepared for both Village and developer's signatures. The proposed easement will host buried electrical lines and grade -mounted transformers. This grant of easement is consistent with approved Maple Street Lofts development plans. Alternatives 1. Pass a resolution authorizing the mayor to sign a grant of easement to Commonwealth Edison. 2. Action at discretion of Village Board.
