ORDINANCE NO. 2338
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING MAP 34S OF THE MOUNT PROSPECT ZONING
ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Mount Prospect
heretofore on January 21, 1972, conducted a public hearing under
Case No. 72-2P on a request for a zoning classification change
from R-A (Single-Family Residence District) to R-2 (Duplex
Residence District) of certain property hereinafter described;
an d
WHEREAS, a notice of the aforesaid public hearing was made in the
manner provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the Judiciary Committee of the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect did meet on February 10, 1972, and did
recommend to the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect that the zoning changes requested therein be
granted; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect have determined that the best interests of the
Village of Mount Prospect will be attained by the adoption of
the Judiciary Committee's recommendations under Case No. 72-2P
regarding the subject properties;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Map 34S of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village
of Mount Prospect, as amended, be and the same is hereby further
amended by reclassifying from R-A (Single-Family Residence
District) to R-2 (Duplex Residence District) the following
described land and territory:
Lot 298 and Lot 299 in Elk Ridge Villa Unit No.5
being a Subdivision in the Southwest Quarter (1/4)
of Section 14, Township 41 North, Range 11, East
of the Third Principal Meridian, according to Plat
thereof registered in the office of the Registrar
of Titles of Cook County, Illinois, on January 22,
1964, as Document Number 2132412 in Cook County,
Illinois.
SECTION TWO: That this Ordinance shall be null and void and of n
force and effect whatsoever, until after its passage, approval,
publication, and such time as an accurate plat resubdividing the
subject parcel described in SECTION ONE above is recorded with
the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois, a copy of which
plat of resubdivision shall be attached hereto and made a part
hereof.
