ORDINANCE NUMBER 2354
AN ORDINANCE VACATING PORTION OF OJIBWA TRAIL
WHEREAS, the Mount Prospect Park District has a need for a
portion of Ojibwa Trail south of Man-A-Wa Trail for golf course
purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Mount Prospect Park District owns the properties
on one side of and abutting that portion of Ojibwa Trail to
be vacated and private persons own properties on the other
side of and abutting the said portion of Ojibwa Trail to be
vacated; and
WHEREAS, in consideration of the vacation herein, the property
owners have agreed to cooperate with the Village of Mount
Propsect in relocation of the right-of-way of Ojibwa Trail to
the west; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees believe such
vacation and relocation is in the best interests of the
Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, authorization has been granted the President and Board
of Trustees to make such vacation pursuant to Section 11-91-1
of the Illinois Municipal Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the following portion of Ojibwa Trail be
and is hereby vacated, to wit:
All of Oji.bwa Trail, being 66.0 feet wide, which lies
South of the South line of Lincoln Street and North of
the South line of the North 1/2 of Lot 3, extended
East in Willson and Florence1s Country Club Subdivision
of the East 233 feet (as measured on the North line) of
the Northwest 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southwest
1/4 of Section 11, Township 41 North, Range 11 East of
the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION TWO: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount
Prospect is hereby directed to file in the Office of the Re-
corder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois, a copy of this
Ordinance, together with an accurate map of the territory
so vacated.
SECTION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication
in the manner provided by law.
