HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 2384 10/17/1972 ORDINANCE NO. tl.31# AN ORDINANCE CONVEYING CERTAIN REAL ESTATE TO THE MOUNT PROSPECT PUBLIC LIBRARY WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect has heretofore purchased certain real property from the Trustees of Schools of Township 41 North, Range 11 East, Cook County, Illinois; and WHEREAS, the purpose and intent for the said purchase of the said land hereinafter described was to provide for additional parking faci- lities for patrons of the Mount Prospect Public Library; and WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Mount Prospect Public Library have indicated its desire to receive title to the said real property in the name of the Mount Prospect Public Library; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect believe that the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect will be served by transfer of title of the said property to the Mount Prospect Public Library, since said library is an integral part of the Village of Mount Prospect, taxes therefor being levied by the President and Board of Trustees of the said Village of Mount Prospect; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That the President of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect be and he is hereby authorized to sign and the Village Clerk be and he is hereby authorized to attest the said signature of the President of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect upon the Quit Claim Deed attached hereto and hereby made a part hereof as Exhibit "A", conveying the following described real property to the Board of Library Directors of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois: Lot Eight (8) in Block Four (4), in Busse and Wille's Resubdivision in Mount Prospect, in the West Half (1/2) of Section 12, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois. SECTION TWO: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner pro- vided by law.
