ORDINANCE NO. 2391
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.108 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT PROHIBITING ENCROACHMENTS ALONG
THE PUBLIC RIGHTS-OF-WAY KNOWN AS EUCLID AVENUE
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the improvements to Euclid Avenue
throughout the Village of Mount Prospect under Section 111-0608-M.F.T.,
the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
consider it in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect to
amend its ordinance regulating and prohibiting encroachments of cer-
tain rights-of-way to include Euclid Avenue for said improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Subsection E be added to Section 9.108 of the Muni-
cipal Code of Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended, to include prohibi-
tions against encroachments along Euclid Avenue; so that hereafter said
Subsection E of Section 9.108 shall be and read as follows:
liE. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or
corporation to erect or cause to be erected, to retain
or cause to be retained, any encroachment (hereinabove
defined), within the roadway rights-of-way of Euclid
Avenue throughout the jurisdiction and the corporate
limlts of the Village or Mount Prospect as said Euclid
Avenue is improved by the State of Illinois, Division
of Highways, in the Village of Mount Prospect, under
the project known as "Section 111-0608-M.F.T."
SECTION TWO: That the above Subsection E is intended to be and shall
be an addition to all other ordinances, rules, and regulations con-
cerning encroachments and shall not be construed as repealing o~ amend-
ing any other ordinances or part of any other ordinances unless it is
in direct conflict therewith.
SECTION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner
provided by law.
