A ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE TO RANDHURST
SHOPPING CENTER TO ALLOW ULTRAZONE LASER TAG ARENA
WHEREAS, NVC, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as Petitioner) has filed a application for a
Conditional Use for a UltraZone Laser Tag Arena to be located within the Randhurst
Shopping Center, 999 North Elmhurst Road (hereinafter referred to as the Subject
Property), legally described as follows:
Lots 1, 2 and 3 in Randhurst Center Subdivision No. 1, being a
resubdivision of Lot 1 in Randhurst Center being a subdivision of that part
of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 27, Township 42 North, Range 11, East of
the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, Petitioner seeks a Conditional Use to allow an amusement establishment/
game room, as provided in Section 14.1703.8, to be located within the Randhurst
Shopping Center; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the request for Conditional Use, designated
as ZBA Case No. 6-97, before the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount
Prospect on the 13th day of March, 1997, pursuant to proper legal notice having been
published in the Mount Prospect Journal and Topics on the 21st day of February, 1997;
and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its findings and
recommendation to the President and Board of Trustees in support of the request being
the subject of ZBA 6-97; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have
given consideration to the request herein and have determined that the same meets the
standards of the Village and that granting the Conditional Use requested in ZBA 6-97
would be in the best interest of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the recitals set forth hereinabove are incorporated as findings of
fact by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: That the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount
Prospect do hereby grant a Conditional Use, as provided in Section 14.1703.8, to allow
UltraZone Laser Tag Arena to be located within the Subject Property.
SECTION THREE: That except as provided herein, all other conditions rules and
regulations of the Village shall be applicable.
SECTION FOUR: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
