ORDINANCE NO. 2449
AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS
ELECTED TO THE MOUNT PROSPECT LIBRARY
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT t COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That t pursuant to current State statutes providing for
seven (7) library directors rather than six (6) such directors hereto-
fore authorized, Section 5.201 of Chapter 5 of the Municipal Code of
Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended, be and the same is hereby further
amended to coincide with the Illinois Revised Statutes t Chapter 81,
Section 2-2; so that hereafter the said Section 5.201 shall be and read
as follows:
"Section 5.201 - Election of Members. There shall be
elected a Library Board of Directors consisting of
seven (7) members who shall serve for six (6) years
as is provided by statute."
SECTION TWO: That this Ordinance shall remain in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner pro-
vided by law.
