ORDINANCE NO. 2468
AN ORDINANCE VACATING PORTION OF DAVIDSON AVENUE
AND PORTION OF THE PUBLIC ALLEY WEST THEREOF
(
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have met and I
have considered the sale of portion of Davidson Avenue and a portion of the pub-I
lic alley west thereof to the abutting property owners; and I
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
have determined that the sale thereof is for the best interests of the Village of
Mount Prospect;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That, while retaining an easement to the Village of Mount
Prospect for public utilities upon the easterly one-half G) thereof, the fol-
lowing portion of Davidson Street lying north of Isabella Street within the
Village of Mount Prospect shall be and is hereby vacated, to-wit:
That part of Davidson Avenue adjoining Lot 6 in H. Roy Berry
Company's Northwest Heights, being a Subdivision of all that
land lying North of the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad in
the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 33,
Township 42 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meri-
dian; which lies Southerly of a line drawn perpendicularly to
the East line of Lot 65 in said Subdivision and passing through
the most Southerly corner of said lot; and lying Northerly of
the Westerly extension of the South line of Lot 64 in the afore-
said Subdivision and lying Northeasterly of the Southeasterly
extension of the Southwesterly line of said Lot 6, all in Cook
County, Illinois.
SECTION TWO: That the following portion of the public alley lying west of
Davidson Street hereinabove described shall be and the said alley is hereby
vacated, to-wit:
That part of the public alley lying Northeasterly of and ad-
joining Lots 3, 4, 5 and 6 in H. Roy Berry Company's North-
west Heights, being a Subdivision of all that land lying North
of the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad in the Northwest
Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 33, Township 42
North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian; which
lies Southeasterly of the Northeasterly extension of the North-
westerly line of said Lot 3; and Northwesterly of the Northerly
extension of the East line of Lot 6 aforesaid, all in Cook County,
Illinois.

SECTION THREE: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect
is hereby directed to file in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cook
County, Illinois, a copy of this Ordinance, together with an accurate map
of the territory so vacated.
SECTION FOUR: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by
law.
