ORDINANCE NO. 2444
AN ORDINANCE INCREASING MEMBERSHIP
OF THE BOARD OF HEALTH
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That Section 5.101 of Article I, of Chapter 5 of the Municipal
Code of Mount Prospect of 1957, as amended, be and the same is hereby fur-
ther amended by changing the composition of the Board of Health in order that
said Board shall consist of seven (7) members with four (4) year terms rather
than five (5) members with five (5) year terms; so that hereafter the said Sec-
tion 5.101 shall be and read as follows:
ITSection 5.101 - Creation - Appointment
There is hereby created a Board, to be known as the
'Board of Health' of the Village of Mount Prospect.
A. Said Board of Health shall be composed of seven
(7) members, each of whom shall be appointed by
the Village President with the advice and consent
of the Board of Trustees.
B. The term of office of each member of the Board of
Health shall be four (4) years, with the exception
that upon the initial appointment of this Board of
Health two (2) members shall be appointed for
four (4) years; two (2) members shall be appointed
for three (3) years; two (2) members shall be ap-
pointed for two (2) years; and one (1) member
shall be appointed for one (1) year. IT
SECTION TWO: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect as of
September 5, 1973, and from and after its passage, approval, and publica-
tion in the manner provided by law.
PASSED and APPROVED this 21st day of August, 1973.
