ORDINANCE NO. 2426
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A NEW CORPORATE
SEAL FOR THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect is a municipal corporation organized
under the statutes of the State of Illinois; and
WHEREAS, as such municipal corporation, the Village of Mount Prospect is
authorized under Section 2-3-8 of the Illinois Municipal Code of 1961 to have
a corporate seal, which seal is changeable at the pleasure of the corporate
authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
have determined that adoption of a new corporate seal as displayed hereinbelow
is in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That, pursuant to Article VII, Section 6 of the 1970
Constitution of the State of Illinois, as well as Chapter 24, Section 2-3-8
of the Illinois Revised Statutes, the following seal be and the same is
hereby adopted as the official seal of the Village of Mount Prospect,
Cook County, Illinois:

SECTION TWO: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
