ORDINANCE NO. 2553
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ACQUISITION
OF CERTAIN SHELL OIL COMPANY LAND
FOR A WELL AND RESERVOIR SITE
I WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect has entered into a certain Annexation
IAgreement through the passage of Resolution No. 19-73, dated April 26, 1973;

1 WHEREAS , the aforesaid Annexation Agreement contains language that the owner
lis to provide at no cost to the Village certain land for use as a water reservoir
~ and/or water well site to be located either on the subject property or off the sub-
lject property; and
I WHEREAS , the aforesaid owner has negotiated with the Shell Oil Company and has
!acquired certain land for the Village of Mount Prospect's use as a water reservoir

land/or water well.

INOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY ~HE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
IOF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

ISECTION ONE: That the Village Clerk be and he is hereby authorized to accept con- .
!veyance of the following described real property in the name of IlThe Village of

The East 235 feet of the South 90 feet of Lot 16 of the Elmhurst-Algonquin
Industrial Park, Unit Number 2, being a subdivision in the Southeast
Quarter (1) of Section 23, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, as recorded on February 20, 1968, as Document No.
20409121 in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds; containing 21,150 square
feet or 0.4855 acres, more or less, in Cook County, Illinois.

ISECTION TWO: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
lits passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
