HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 2595 10/07/1975 ORDINANCE NO. 2595 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1606 WEST GOLF ROAD, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect and George L. Busse Company heretofore entered into a certain Annexation Agreement dated October 7, 1975, with respect to the property hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, prior to the execution of said Annexation Agreement the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect held a public meeting on July 24, 1975, at the hour of 8: 00 p.m. , in the Mount Prospect Village Hall pursuant to notice thereof published in the manner prescribed by law; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect heard testi- mony presented under Case No. 29-Z-75 pertaining to a request by George L. Busse Company for a certain special use pursuant to Article VII of the Mount Prospect Zon- ing Ordinance to permit a cleaning, dyeing, and laundry establishment where clean- ing, dyeing, and laundry is done on the premises hereinafter described, upon annex - . I h~;~ I WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect did recom- mend to the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect that the special use requested under Case No. 29-Z-75 be granted; and WHEREAS, the Building Committee of the Village of Mount Prospect did meet on Au- gust 13, 1975, and did consider the recommendations of the Zoning Board of Appeals under said Case No. 29-Z-75; and WHEREAS, the Building Committee has recommended that the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect concur in the recommendations of the Zon- ing Board of Appeals to allow the special use as presented in Case No. 29- Z-75; and WHEREAS, said property has been annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect and duly I ,classified in the B-3 (Business-Retail and Service) District: and I WHEREAS, pursuant to the aforesaid Annexation Agreement, the Village has agreed that it will adopt an ordinance pursuant to Article VII of the Mount Prospect Zoning Ordinance permitting a certain special use on the subject property; and I I I WHEREAS, the Village has given all the notices and held all of the public hearings re- l.quired by law to be held in connection with the approval of such Annexation Agree- Iment and of the special use hereinafter authorized: and II I WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have reviewed the said proposed special use and have determined that the same is in the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That pursuant to Article VII of the Mount Prospect Zoning Ordinance, for the following described property: -" I II I Lot 9 (except the West 150 feet thereof as measured along the i North and South line thereof) and all of Lot 10 in Busse Country Estates being a subdivision of the West 25 acres of that part of the West Half G) of the Northwest Quarter cn of Section 14, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meri- dian lying North of Seegers Road, in Cook County, Illinois, a special use permit is hereby granted to allow to be located upon the aforesaid pro- perty a cleaning, dyeing, and laundry establishment where cleaning, dyeing, and I laundry is done on the premises. SECTION TWO: That the special use authorized to be established in SECTION ONE hereinabove shall be valid and effective only upon the performance and continuous maintenance thereof in accordance with all other laws and ordinances of the Village of Mount Prospect and State of Illinois. SECTION THREE: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law, and the effec- tive date of Ordinance No. 2594.
